DAILY GUIDE DEVOTIONAL FOR MONDAY 3 NOVEMBER 2025
Topic: Jesus Christ, the prefect sacrifice for sins
Opening Prayer
Grant me depth of insight, revelation and knowledge as I meditate on this passage, O Lord.
Bible Text
Hebrews 9:23-28
Meditation Question
► Q 1: What does the passage teach about God the Father, or God the Son or God the Holy Spirit?
► Q7: What truth is God revealing to me in this passage?
We saw yesterday that it was necessary for the earthly sanctuary with all its utensils and the people to be sprinkled with blood as a mark of cleansing (Hebrews 9:23). It is also necessary that the things in the heavenly sanctuary be sprinkled with a better sacrifice – the blood of Jesus Christ. Why (Hebrews 9:24b; cf. John 14:6; Hebrews 10:19-22)? To stand before the holy and perfect God, man’s sins must be cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. Christ’s blood is the only one accepted before God. This shows how important, essential, and great the death of Jesus Christ is; for nothing finds acceptance before God without the blood of Christ.
Looking at Hebrews 9:25-28, what differentiates the sacrifice of Christ from that of Aaron and his sons? – Christ entered heaven once to offer Himself as a sacrifice for sin.
– Christ offered His own blood when He entered the heavenly sanctuary.
– His once-for-all sacrifice did away with sin forever for many people.
But what of the high priest of the old covenant (Hebrews 9:24-25)?
What Next?
Christ is coming back again for those who are eagerly waiting for Him (v.28b). Are you ready for Him?
